Application of Inzai City Public Kindergarten will be Accepted

Currently, there are 8 kindergartens in Inzai city - 2 public schools and 6 private schools.

The application of 2 public kindergartens - "Seto Kindergarten" and "Motono Kindergarten" will be accepted.

Today, we would like to talk about the differences between public and private schools, their advantages and disadvantages, and the details of how to apply.

There are differences between public and private kindergartens even if they are the same "kindergarten". Public schools are operated by the local government, so "Seto Kindergarten" and "Motono Kindergarten" are operated by Inzai city.

On the other hand, private kindergartens in Inzai city like "Inzai Sion Kindergarten" "Tenjin Kindergarten" "Tenjin, Kobayashi Kindergarten" "Kikari Kindergarten" "Harayama Kindergarten" and "Nishinohara Kindergarten" are operated by private school corporations, foundations, or religious organizations. 

Usually private kindergarten is for 3years of childcare. Public kindergarten is for 2years of childcare in general. How about public kindergartens in Inzai city?

As above, Seto Kindergarten is for 2 years and Motono Kindergarten is for 3 years. It's up to you to choose 2years or 3years.

Public kindergartens don't have school lunch in general but ones in Inzai city have school lunch because parents must be busy in the morning for work, taking care of little siblings, or more. It must be very helpful for the families who let children go to public kindergarten.

School Bus?

You may think public kindergartens usually have school buses, but in general, public kindergartens don't have one. You have to take children to school by yourself.

However, there is partially a school bus in Inzai city.

Those school buses don't cover the whole Inzai city, so you have to take children to school by yourself if you want them to go from outside the target area. 

Private kindergartens have their own educational policies and programs more. Even in private schools, there are big differences in the types such as those related to religion (Buddhist, Christian, etc.), educational kindergartens that aim to prepare for private elementary school, and relaxed kindergartens that allow children to interact with nature more. You can choose depending on how your children grow up.

Moreover, private kindergartens offer extended care after the daycare hours which public kindergartens in Inzai city won't do. It's very convenient system for parents who couldn't leave work on time or have any urgent matter to deal with unexpectedly. 

Private kindergartens have all different characteristics, but public kindergartens are more like "traditional" relaxed childcare with lots of play inside and outside. In fact, parents feel safe and comfortable to let their children have the same or similar environments they had when they were young. 

Besides, the overwhelmingly low cost of public kindergarten is a major attraction. Childcare fee is free for both public and private kindergartens in Inzai city (Other expenses like fees of teaching material and PTA are required). However, the school enrollment fee is averaging 70,000yen for private kindergarten in Inzai city. Public kindergarten doesn't charge an enrollment fee. School bus fee in public kindergarten is less than half the cost of private kindergarten. It'll cost high to raise children in the future, so that you can plan where to spend more or less.
